Lakeside Country Club Winter Wedding

We love weddings in the beautifully secret season of winter. Often overlooked, January & February can be so romantic, and that was certainly the case with this beautiful wedding!

When we asked about design inspiration, Lauren told us that she, “wanted to transform the Lakeside Ballroom so it didn’t feel like Lakeside at all – wanted to use it more as a canvas. Went for more of a restaurant, lounge vibe as opposed to a traditional restaurant. We wanted to keep the ceremony florals all white, but then incorporate colors into the reception. Michael (Anticipate) created this beautiful design for our save the date that had peacocks and butterflies and birds on it, which we absolutely loved and knew that we wanted that design to serve as the inspiration for the wedding decor. The dance floor was the same design! It came together so perfectly! Shelli (Flora & Eventi) really executed!”

The Dress

Lauren looked stunning in an Oscar de la Renta gown, and finished out her bridal look with Alexandre Birman shoes and her “great grandma’s pearl ring, pearl earrings and pearl bracelet. These were all worn by my mom on her wedding day.”

Favorite Moments

We love asking our sweet brides about their favorite wedding weekend moments, and Lauren didn’t even have to think about hers! “First look with dad, welcome party, and getting ready with my sister!! I also loved our private last dance because it gave Jackson and I a moment to soak in the entire empty room and say “goodbye” to our wedding day.”
