A Christmas Wedding in Houston

Eva knew exactly what she wanted for her wedding design because she “loves Christmas SO much. Jordi proposed at the Denver Botanical Gardens in front of the outdoor Christmas trees on the first day of snow in 2024! I have always wanted a winter wedding because I feel like a wedding around the holidays adds an extra layer of festivity.”

We couldn’t agree more, and Chelsea at Belle Events helped transform their day into a magical Christmas wonderland from start to finish!

Details

When we asked about her favorite details from the day, our sweet bride said, “It is impossible to pick! Our vendors did such an incredible job. My mom made our Save the Dates herself and used a vintage Christmas wrapping paper for the envelope liner. Michael from Anticipate Invitations did an incredible job bringing our holiday vision to life with our wedding invitations. I loved the Christmas tree cutout and custom holiday fir toile design. Sheli from Flora & Eventi incorporated the same print into the fabric liner of our tent. She could not have done a better job designing and decorating our reception space. The tent was breathtaking! I loved the chandeliers and the twinkle lights on the ceiling of the tent. It felt like a winter wonderland. I also adored our two cakes. The Herend penguin cake toppers were one of my favorite details. My mom gave them to me as my bridal shower gift! They were adorable and perfectly fit our festive holiday theme!

The Dress

Eva’s dress was beautiful, stunning, and oh-so-classy. “My wedding dress was the Frankie Dress from Rivini! Laura’s Alterations in Houston created my bolero for the ceremony. They were SO talented – the seamstress cut out individual flowers from the extra fabric of my dress to create the bolero. I had so much fun trying on wedding dresses at Ivory Bridal. My sisters and mom came with me, and we had a blast. I love classic wedding dresses like Kate Middleton’s and Grace Kelly’s, so I knew I wanted something traditional with lace. I absolutely loved my wedding gown; it made me feel like a princess! My white heels were actually the shoes I wore for my high school graduation! I went to Duchesne Academy, where all the girls graduating wear long white dresses, so it was easy to make my shoes my “something old!” I borrowed my jewelry from my grandmother, Mimi, who has the BEST jewelry collection! I felt like the emeralds tied into our Christmas / holiday theme perfectly, and they matched my emerald wedding band. Jordi’s wedding band is very special because it belonged to his late grandfather.”

“Where to begin?! Our photography team was INCREDIBLE. I loved how much guidance we were given on photos. Instead of having to worry about where to stand, how to pose, etc., we were just able to follow our amazing photographers’ instructions. Deji in particular made us feel so relaxed and confident. We could not be happier with how our photos turned out. I especially love all of the candid moments that the team captured from our dance floor! Jordi and I are grinning from ear to ear in every single photo. We had never discussed the reception exit photos, but those turned out to be my favorite pictures! The photography team captured how overjoyed we were and how happy our friends and family were for us. Those photos were the most fun surprise!”
