Fall Fête at Houston Country Club

Amy & Bijan chose the always-classic Houston Country Club for their venue, and she went with a design and palette that fit the fall season for their November wedding. Amy said that, “HCC already is such a stunning venue that we wanted to choose colors and florals that would complement what was already there. Light blue and pink have always been some of my favorite colors, and we found a great way to make it still look ‘fall’ by picking dustier tones. I was so so so happy with how everything turned out!”

The Dress

When we asked about her Anne Barge gown, Amy excitedly told us that, ” I loved my dress sooo much! Going into shopping, I thought I wanted a ‘Kate Middleton’ look with long sleeves and lace all over, but when I started trying on gowns, I noticed I was gravitating towards timeless, classic, more simple designs. When I tried on this dress by Anne Barge I knew it was the one! I felt so beautiful in it and I felt that it accented my figure so well!”

Favorite Details

Amy and Bijan have such a fun and sweet story, and they did a wonderful job of weaving various parts of it into their day through special details!

“I loved the Wake Forest groom’s cake! We met there when we were sophomores in college and so many of our guests went to school with us there. It was unbelievable that Chocolate Llama was able to execute our vision so perfectly! So many of our guests posted Bijan’s cake all over instagram because it was THAT good. I also loved all of our florals so much! Dahlgren from Olive and King executed everything PERFECTLY – she is so good at making things both timeless and unique, and designing the florals in a way that has such great movement and draws your eye in. I also loved our table with family wedding portraits – Bijan and I are both extremely close with our families, and unfortunately only have 1 living grandparent who was able to be at the wedding. We wanted to honor our amazing families and grandparents who we know were with us in spirit by putting their wedding portraits near the entrance.”
